J at the beginning of words.

In Spanish, it looks like words that start with a J, the J it's pronounced like a H, like Jugo or José. But when English words start with a J, Spanish speakers pronounce it like a Y. Job as 'Yob', Jason as 'Yason', etc.. Why do they not pronounce it as 'Hob' or 'Hason'?
