I was asked to translate this sentence:
A great deal of meaning is conveyed by a few well-chosen words.
Se le transmite una gran cantidad de significado por unas palabras bien elegidas.
However, my teacher said that while it's correct, "por" doesn't really sound right in this context and he said that if he were asked to translate this, he would've written:
Se le transmite una gran cantidad de significado a través (de) unas palabras bien elegidas.
However, he couldn't really explain WHY "a través de" fits better in this case. Can you help me to differentiate the subtle meaning between these two examples?
