Telling somebody, “Don’t be lazy.”

If I were to say, “No eres perezoso,” that would be telling them they are not lazy. If I wanted to tell somebody not to be lazy, would I say, “No está perezoso,” since in this case the laziness is not a trait but instead something temporary that they can change? If not, what is the correct way to tell somebody not to be lazy?
